At the show, representatives of different countries reiterated the need to enhance maritime domain activities due to the complex maritime security in the region with China getting aggressive day by day.
Speaking at the ‘Malaysia Maritime Conference 2025’, the Malaysian Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said this year’s theme, “Malaysia A Maritime Nation: Synergising Good Governance Through Effective Policies for Maritime Prosperity”, reflects the country’s commitment to strengthening maritime governance and driving the sustainable growth of a vibrant blue economy.
